Robert Charles Avigdor was born in Philadelphia Pennsylvania and grew up in the suburbs for most of his life. He started performing at five years old when he began tap dancing. He launched into the world of Musical Theatre only a year and a half later in his first production, FIDDLER ON THE ROOF. From then on, he has performed in upwards of 50 productions and concerts.
Robert is an an alumnus of Temple University where he recieved a BFA in Musical Theatre. In his time at Temple, he has performed roles such as Prentiss in PETER AND THE STARCATCHER, Herr Falk in SICK MOVES, OR THE DANCING PLAGUE OF 1518 (An Original Musical), and Otto in SPRING AWAKENING as well as originating multiple roles in readings as well. Outside of school he has performed as Frankie Epps/Young Soldier in Parade and made his regional debut as an Ensemble Understudy in ROCKY THE MUSICAL at the Walnut Street Theatre. In the last year, Robert has been performing on the seven seas with Regent Seven Seas Cruises and Oceania Cruises with Norwegian Creative Studios as well as a Singer/Dancer with RWS at the Music Box Theater. Robert also finished a run in Beauty and the Beast at Arizona Broadway Theatre(Ensemble, U/S Beast/Gaston)! He has also been a part of concerts and projects featuring artists such as Steven Reineke, Betsy Wolfe, and Caesar Samayoa.
Robert is passionate about traveling, culture, and is a big foodie! He always attempts to be a bright light of energy in every room he walks into and continuously pours his heart into his friendships, family, and work in theatre!
